I realise that, for quite a lot of people...circa 2002, or 2003, Kucinich was probably the only person with a "D" after his name in elected office who stood up and said what a lot of people were thinking; calling for impeachment and an end to the illegitimate wars were all well and good, but...he's a kook who believes in UFO's, chemtrails and 9/11 conspiracy theories. The fact that he ever had a serious constituency within the Democratic Party (even if it was, what, 5, 10%?) says more about the paucity of genuinely leftist/social-democratic alternatives in the present Democratic Party than anything else.
