(24,396 posts)He alleged a government conspiracy to cover up connections between the vaccine preservative thimerosal and childhood autism. Of course, there is no connection between thimerosal and autism. And there was obviously no government conspiracy afoot to hide something that didn't exist. Such craziness exhibits a basic distrust of government that leads him to make unfounded accusations. It also reveals an penchant for believing in conspiracies where none exist.
RFK Jr is a self-identified anti-choicer (ie: pro-lifer). I disagree with him there.
He knocks wind farms in some areas while earning royalties from family-owned oil drilling businesses. I find that slightly hypocritical.
On the other hand, he does a lot of things I agree with, on the environment and in food safety.
So, yes, I take much of what he says with a grain of salt.
