I had a side account at B of A for a while, however. You want to talk about fees? That's why I no longer have the account. Wish I had all the money they charged me for going under a certain balance--something they instituted AFTER I opened the account. Those fees were not in the agreement when I opened that account.

We got out of B of A and are now "members" of Achieva Credit Union and LOVE IT

You need to shop around for other CU's. Ours has free checking, free ATM's, low apr C cards etc.

I bank with USAA. (it's a non-profit org for military) Many, many credit unions allow

I'm in a FCU, and no fees at all. But then I have my IRA with them, meeting min. cash holdings.
