I lived in California for most of my life, until I moved to Minnesota in 2004. I'm 68 now. Earthquakes. I felt so many of them there. The first was when I was like 5 years old, and it rolled me out of bed. Over the years, I sort of grew used to them. Things would start shaking and I'd say to myself, "Ah, another earthquake." Then I'd wonder where it was centered and how large it was, and go turn on the news in the years before the Internet.
It's part of life in California.
