Remember the Paula Deen/Anthony Bourdain "feud"? [View all]

Former New York Times restaurant critic and "pretty bad columnist" Frank Bruni has boldly turned against Paula Deen today. Back in 2011, Bruni wrote an opinion piece ("Unsavory Culinary Elitism&quot that went after Anthony Bourdain for talking shit about Paula Deen. At the time, Bourdain had recently told TV Guide "The worst, most dangerous person to America is clearly Paula Deen." "She revels in unholy connections with evil corporations," said Bourdain. "And she's proud of the fact that her food is fucking bad for you."

And today Bruni has completely changed his opinion of Paula Deen. In "Paula's Worst Ingredients," he just tears into her without ever mentioning that he was previously a Deen apologist. You get lines like: "Paula Deen is where sass meets crass, where the homespun and folksy curdle into something with a sour aftertaste." Bruni calls her pharma deal "triumphant cynicism." He says her "worst ingredient" is her "willful obtuseness."
