in numbers close to 2012 in order to make this so. After the 2012 election, the media refused to mention that Democrats gained 8 seats in the House... preferring instead to continue with the narrative of rethugs retaking the Senate. Ironically, since the Senate does not rely on gerrymandering, with enough turnout, Democrats might be competitive in states like KY or WV, where Democrats are in the majority, but have tended to be more conservative (and just couldn't pull a lever for this current President).
