(65,820 posts)38. I really don't think we can reach "Trump voters" who are raging hypocrites. And we can try to
reach the salvable republicans. Let me explain, my neighbor is probably salvageble. He is extremely kind and helpful, as is his whole family, to my husband and me. But here is what is just plain weird: he "saw things" that weren't happening i.e. videos purporting that, he said, Dems were cheating at the polls, changing votes from R to D, and other chicanery. A couple of his friends on Facebook said things like "Gary, we need to talk, please call me, I don't think you saw what you said you did. Please call me..." That took me aback. Some of his friends were actually saying he might be hallucinating.
He and his family continue to be helpful to us as we're elderly. I feel so badly for them. They are good people in other ways."
