$200 a month for a silver plan would be (barely) workable for me, but what I'm offered isn't. Even if I could afford the premium, the deductible is the real issue, as I suspect it is for a lot of us. Insured or out of pocket, six or sixty grand, it's thousands more than I can afford. 1500 is most of my slush fund, but at least I have it.

Sort of like drowning; it doesn't really matter whether it's twelve feet of water or the middle of the ocean. It's over my head either way.
