People have given into an irrational, unfounded fear.

Being killed by a gun by another person intent on harming you is so unlikely as to be laughable. The fact that so many people give it a second thought is absolutely irrational, and bordering on insane.

They want you to live in fear, and you have given them exactly what they want.
