Angry people aren't optimistic at all. They wouldn't be angry if they were thinking positively (optimistically).
Anger destroys relationships because it is all power with no controls. No focus. It's like a volcano that may help the earth relieve internal pressures, but it destroys everything in its path while doing so.
Anger is the opposite of self-insight. Anger focuses its energy outwardly toward the world and toward others as the ''cause'' of their problems. Rather than toward the self where all answers truly lie.
Anger causes violence. Anger is the point you reach when words can go no further. Anger is the reaction to other's violence. Whether it is verbal violence or of or physical variety. Anger is a response, not an act of volition.
Anger is not a negotiation strategy because you can't control it. Your anger depends upon others making you so, so then how can you negotiate with something you have no control over?
- People just need to calm down and stop letting the world control your emotions.
