(34,066 posts)I have had far less medical training that Amber Vinson, and I know better than to get on a plane when I am feeling fatigue, malaise, and running a temperature of 99.4 degrees while I am in the incubation period after being exposed to Ebola. (And one additional report from an unnamed Federal official also includes muscle aches.) You just watched Ebola kill someone you have been taking care of, and you have symptoms identical to the early stages of Ebola (yes, consistent with other diseases as well, but from a medical perspective once you have been exposed to Ebola you should assume any symptoms consistent with Ebola IS Ebola until proven otherwise).
That doesn't excuse the actions of the CDC, or Texas Presbyterian - but their boneheaded mistakes also do not excuse hers. Virtually everyone here screwed up, including Amber Vinson.
