She highlighted her challenger, Bobby Schilling's votes that supported tax breaks for outsourcers and championed minimum wage increases. She won easily.

On the other hand Billionaire Bruce Rauner defeated populist Governor Patrick Quinn, although Rauner spent $28 million of his own money and raised another $40 million in the race.
