But that cartoon is as stupid as anything that has ever dropped from the putrid bowels of Rupert Murdoch. Obama's people might have concluded that his security would have been disruptive, or that he didn't want to make the event about the U.S., or maybe they misjudged what a BFD the whole thing would be viewed as by the media (even though in fact it was a staged photo-op). The one thing I am absolutely certain of is that Obama did not just blow off the event to play golf, which is what that dumb cartoon clearly implies.
