In reply to the discussion: Keith Olbermann and MSNBC: Why It’s Time for a Reunion [View all]brewens
(13,918 posts)When he was with Current TV, I still loved the show despite the obvious lower production values. Sure, they made mistakes but a few times Olbermann's reaction didn't help anything. On my job and with a businesss I own, if there is a screwup, there is absolutely no reason for me to make sure all the donors/customers know about it!
With blood donors in some cases they have a right to be told if their unit was contaminated and must be discarded or anything like that. It's rare but it happens. We have staff make mistakes sometimes. One of us does not need to make a big display of how displeased we are at an idiot for all other donors to see! A few times Olbermann could have just trooped on and most people wouldn't have noticed. And you might have better staff if your network could afford them had you not sucked up all the money! If he expected the very best techs and sets, he should have demanded that in his deal to begin with.
I still hope MSNBC or anyone else brings him back. He's the best.
