(788 posts)The year was 2009. I had just started seeing this girl a few months prior. Senior year of college. We had sex with each other for the first time and she ended up being something like 9 days late. After careful consideration and deliberation, we (she) decided that if a pregnancy test came back positive, we (she) would abort the pregnancy. We were both too young, didn't have much money, and just had too much we wanted to do with our lives at the time without the stress of a child. A PERFECTLY legitimate reason to abort, as is ANY reason. Though we came to this decision together, it was ultimately her that made the decision. To anyone that thinks this is something that you just decide as you're pouring your morning coffee, go pound sand. For most of us logical and compassionate individuals, this is one of the hardest decisions I had to be a part of. The reasons why that particular decision was made is of no one's concern other than those directly involved with it. You are not me. You are not her doctor. You are not living our lives. Go fuck off. I find it funny how these politicians claim to be "pro-God, and pro-life" yet fail to recognize a miscarriage as a "God-induced abortion". I am truly sorry if I offended anyone who HAS miscarried. I was simply trying to illustrate a point.
