High Voter Turnout In WI Can NOT Be Good For Scott Walker [View all]

1. Who gets out to vote in primary/non-national elections? Why, the people who are pissed off, that's who, and people in WI are pissed off at Scott Walker.

2. Team Walker is trying to suppress voter turnout by targeting people who signed the recall petitions and telling them that they don't need to vote if they signed the petition to recall Walker. What's that tell you? It tells you that they don't want a high turnout today, that's what.

3. High voter turnout is - to paraphrase Jesse Jackson - the result of a good ground game, not a good air game. The Ds have a great ground game in WI, and it will counter the dominance of the airwaves by the Rs. Why? Because a ground game directly targets and contacts potential voters, while TV ads are a passive medium that are dependent on people tuning in, not on people having to answer their door or their phone.

I think I smell fried Walker in the air...
