Once bigots always bigots, I guess.
Will the Boy Scouts Reverse Its Anti-Gay Policy?

An outcry over the dismissal of an openly gay den mother has prompted the Scouts to consider ending its contentious membership policy.
UPDATE: In a statement, the Boy Scouts of America has clarified its position on the issue of gay membership. Contrary to media reports, the Boy Scouts of America has no plans to change its membership policy. The introduction of a resolution does not indicate the organization is reviewing a policy or signal a change in direction, the statement said. The organizations policy, it reiterated, is: While the BSA does not proactively inquire about the sexual orientation of employees, volunteers, or members, we do not grant membership to individuals who are open or avowed homosexuals or who engage in behavior that would become a distraction to the mission of the BSA.

Of course they should! I don't understand why they have such a policy in the first place.
