On a more serious note, some of these new airship designs are fantastic. Soon 'ships will be flying without ballast, using on board helium compression to adjust buoyancy like a fish uses their swim bladder.

Perhaps it's possible to have thin film flexible solar cells on the top of the envelope, electric drive motors, and buoyancy control to create an airship that never lands, except to provision the crew or undergo maintenance?
