In reply to the discussion: Warren Buffett fires back at Trump over taxes [View all]longship
(40,416 posts)17. Warren Buffet is one cool dude.
Ed Asner plays Buffet in HBO's film Too Big to Fail, which I recommend. Lehman Bros. CEO, the appropriately named Dick Fuld, is played by James Woods (a fucking jerk playing a fucking jerk).
It is an interesting film relating what happened at Treasury and Wall Street in the autumn of 2008 when the entire world economy was melting down before our very eyes.
In addition to Asner and Woods:
William Hurt plays Treasury Secy Paulsen
Paul Giamatti plays Ben Bernanke
Toni Schalhoub plays Morgan Stanley CEO John Mack.
Billy Crudup plays Tim Geitner
Lots of other recognized stars here.
It is a frustrating film because the outcome is what actually happened, not optimal.
HBO films are pretty damned good, this one included.

If it's good enough for Mr. Buffett, Donald should agree! It's his whole line & defense.
