(20,709 posts)Sure, there was a lot of back-and-forth during the primaries, but as soon as the outcome became clear, the back-and-forth stopped being about who should be the Democratic nominee, but rather about whether the Democratic nominee should be supported at all, or whether it would make any difference (or even be better) if Trump would win.
And it wasn't a small thing, there were tons of threads about it. Also, it didn't start there, the same trolls pushing Trump were for years arguing that Obama was no different than a Republican, or worse.
The thing is, the far left has been implicitly (and sometimes overtly, like Nader) helping the GOP for two decades now. And anyone who has been on DU for a while (I've been here since early W) has seen this dynamic, not only in national politics, but also here on DU.
