memories of standing on the overlook of the Hudson River watching a convoy leave the river for the New York Bay, the statue of Liberty to the open Atlantic. There were hundreds of thousands watching as the convoy departed for Yalta with FDR on board. Bitter cold but no one left. I was only nine years l but I still get chills.
