Just called my Congressman, Elijah Cummings re "not re-litigating the election" [View all]

My message was:

1. Press for a special prosecutor

2. Push for a subpoena of Trump's tax returns

And 3. About "Not re-litigating the election," as politicians keep saying, NO. If evidence shows that people were duped by a foreign adversary in a way that substantially affected the election results, then yes -- go ahead and "re-litigate."

If the connections with Russia go as far as I think they do, and if they can prove it, then we're in a full-blown constitutional crisis. At that point, court martial, prison, and even invalidation of the election results should be considered. Why not a referendum for some procedure, or a do-over for the Electors, or some other mechanism to validate the choice of the American People and give us President Hillary Rodham Clinton?

It might not get that far (even if the facts do), and in any case it's smart for politicians to say it's the furthest thing from their minds. But it's not the furthest thing from mine, and I like giving my representatives plenty of room to go further. Re-litigate away, Congressman!
