But if Trump actually proposed something legitimately "good" for the American public (i.e. Single Payer, positive changes to ACA) that Dems would vote for, his base would tear him to shreds and it would never see the light of day in this Congress. Trump, however, has shown no inclination so far to propose any legislation/EO's that do anything good for anybody except for the rich, powerful, and bigoted.


Democrats have expressed some willingness to work with Trump on infrastructure but, given the current makeup of Congress and how an actual infrastructure bill would probably turn out looking - like another sloppy, wet kiss to corporations with little actual substance- most Democrats probably wouldn't (rightly) end up supporting it IMHO.
