6. Can you explain further why it would not be productive?

FYI, here's my situation... I registered unaffiliated several election cycles ago in order to vote for a left leaning Rethug candidate against a conservative rethug in a local election. No Democrat challenged. I have been a Democrat my entire life and this was the only time I voted for a Rethug in any election for any position ever.

I have a US rethug rep who consistently is unchallenged by a Democrat or another rethug.

Basically, I'm looking at what I can do in the 2018 cycle besides donating to other in state or out of state Democratic candidates.
