"The Dems kicked out the racists when LBJ signed the Civil Rights Act. The Democrats saw the right side of history. LBJ knew what he was doing and was courageous. He said "Signing this bill will lose us the South for a generation.".

That's how the Republicans became the modern party of racism.

Just tell your GOP apologists that racists have been part of the GOP since 1968 - 50 years. Yes racists have been in both parties over the years. But modern racists are republicans. And have been for 50 years.
