First job is to get all the ruined stuff out to the curb and hope sanitation gets up and running within the next 3 months. Second is to try to figure out how to scrape all the mud off the floors. Third is to realize that the drywall and insulation have to be torn out to the water line, that the walls have to be left open to dry out, and that it's going to take a lot of time and a lot of money to fix the house when they thought it was only the stuff inside that got wet.
I think it would be easier if the house just got picked up and swept away. At least then, you could get a manufactured house trucked in and have someplace dry to live while you decided whether you'd rebuild or just try to sell the land because now you know it'll flood again someday.
