(54,770 posts)50. Back in the day, I once saw a young lady fill up her handbag with food from the happy hour buffet.
She had a plastic bag lining her bag when she walked in. She did not seem interested in anything but the food. It was back during the early 1980s recession. Times were tough.
Proud to say, I was always a gentleman. That didn't get me far in those days, but that's OK.
To this day, an old buddy of mine calls up and says, "Billy's." Billy's was one of -- or the original -- "singles bars" in Atlanta in the 1970s and it was fun just watching the show. I still remember a young lady asking if she could buy me a dozen oysters while looking deep into my eyes. I think I screwed up the response.
