(3 posts)I'm thinking about what you said and have to agree. Some of their "beliefs" are so entangled with their political views, however, it is hard to separate the two. The issue of abortion, for example. Several family members of mine will never vote for a Democrat unless he/she is "Pro-Life." It's a circular, dead end argument for me, like, what came first, the chicken or the egg. And THAT, my friend, is their bottom line. All else doesn't matter. And that is what is so terribly tragic -- that everything else is lip service, up to and including the Jesus effect (feed the poor, hungry, etc.). Oh, they believe all that, but won't cast the vote for the politician who can actually do something about it, unless they are pro-life. Have a good day.
