Sure, DWS takes more out-of-state money than Canova, but she also takes far more in-state money than he does. Nearly 90% of his money is out-of-state, while 72% of hers is in-state.
While they both get a lot out of money from outside the district, DWS gets far more money from inside the district than he does. Outside donors can flood Canova's coffers if they want, but if he can't get support from the people who actually live in the district, he's toast.
As for the metro areas donating the most to each candidate:
DWS's top three metro areas are in Florida. Not one of Canova's is in Florida.
