The developers don't care if their buildings are eventually damaged or destroyed by rising sea levels. They will make money now and let their customers suffer the consequences. This seems to be the new normal for our capitalistic society, from Wall Street to I guess now the beach, I got mine so suck it if you pay the consequences down the road.
