Craig Varoga, president of Patriot Majority, said because the IVRP has been specifically referenced in a statement from Secretary of State Connie Lawson, the investigation could impede the processing of the 45,000 voter registration cards that have been completed through the organization across the state.
The IVRP uses quality-control procedures in an effort to catch issues with voter registrations. Varoga said any of the applications that have been earmarked as fraud were already earmarked by the IVRP as incomplete or incorrect.
For example, if someone transposes digits in a phone number or forgets to fill out their ZIP code, the canvasser cannot complete that information for them, Varoga said. That card would then be flagged before being turned over to the local clerk's office.
"If they transpose a number and thats inaccurate, thats a mistake," he said. "Thats not fraud."

I know here in Florida our voter registration training emphasizes that the volunteers CANNOT write on the front of the form at all. Only the voter is allowed to do that. If someone needs help filling out the form we have to ask them to contact the Supervisor of Elections office and request help from them. We ask that the registrant review the form for mistakes but we cannot "fix" them. We do put the date and time on the back once the form is completed - that is the
only writing that is allowed by the volunteers.
Third party voter registration groups such as campaigns have to get special forms from the supervisor's office. We are responsible for every form we get from the campaign - they are numbered and blocks of numbered forms are checked out to each volunteer. The campaign will be charged $5000 for EACH form not returned to the supervisor's office. If a form is messed up, we mark it "Void" and still have to return it to the supervisor's office. Oh - we have ten days from the date the forms are completed to return them to the supervisor's office.
