Hell, I heard a recruit in Basic Training state he was going to kill all of the drill sergeants and then himself with his issue M-16 because he couldn't stand the stress. The training staff were alerted, he was taken to the post hospital for evaluation, and his weapons card (which a trainee must present to the armorer at the arms room in order to obtain his weapon) was revoked.

This notion that one can wade through an ocean of firearms everywhere you go on a military base is naive in the extreme.
