1. That changes Roe v. Wade.

Roe v. Wade defines life beginning as when the fetus could live outside the body, and determined it (at that time) to be 6 months. So this MS law would define it as beginning when there is a heartbeat, even though it can't live outside the body.

If they pass this, it will go to the Supreme Court, where I expect it will be upheld, now that the anti-abortion justices are in place.

This would effectively outlaw abortion in MS, since by the time you'd discover you're pregnant, take some time to make a decision, and get an appt for an abortion, most would likely be past the 6 week time limit. (Esp since I'm guessing that MS doesn't have many, if any, abortion clinics.)
