from lengthening the runways in Grenada. The wanted runways long enough to takeoff and land certain Russian propeller driven bombers with nuclear capabilities. The students at the medical school were never in danger. Funny thing is how I know this. One of my instructors and I were taking a break. Off hand he asked me if I knew what bomber needed the longest runway. I said I didn't and he then told me the plane and the length of the runway it needed. It was much later that I heard that Russian officers and Cubans were lengthening the runways, I knew why.
