If Congress were to pass a law today saying that you have to open your garage and let the committee go through your boxes of junk as long as a committee chairman requested it... you would (I think correctly) say that Congress lacks the power to pass that law.
And I ask you the same question. Why do you think the committee wants to review his taxes?
