59. I am always astounded at Republicans ability to switch allegiances so quickly

May 2020

From 2001 - 2008 anyone dared to criticize our Commander in Chief for any reason was anti-American. He could do no wrong to his base. Lying about yellow cake in Africa, illegally spying on average Americans with the NSA fishing, and lying about WMDs, a dire recession, to name a few things. Just like Trump, they blindly, not just supported but, adored him, and vigorously attacked the attacker. Coulter was on her game back then. I remember one documentary at the time "Jesus Camp" I think, where they had a life size cardboard statue of GW Bush to pray to.

Then.....Obama gets elected. Partly because of GW Bush's policies, and suddenly the GOP turns on a dime. While Democrats are happy and want to see former D Presidents at their conventions, it was a noticeable absence that at their very first convention after 2008, Bush and Cheney were nowhere to be found Not invited. This after the last one where they had a huge stage with the Presidential seal, and Bush and Cheney were treated like rock stars.

I would play this quote in a Biden ad exboyfil May 2020 #1
