This is part of a national effort (except Republican fascist states) to undo the harm of the laws that created "lifetime criminals from thin air back in the 80s and the beginning of that 20 year long, "tough on crime," movement.

The movement that created criminals out of thin air by upgrading thousands of misdemeanors to felonies, enhancing sentencing, the practice of charging each arrested person with as many crimes as possible, and of course the constant creation of new crimes.



The "tough on crime," war was a war against the poorest people of this nation, keep all those poor men, especially young men of color in jail so there would be no rebellion. While the unions were destroyed, jobs went offshore, and illegal immigrants were brought in to take the lowest paying jobs, permanently reducing the wages for all ag and food processing work.
