8. ACA saved my life

I was diagnosed with lymphoma some 34 years ago.

I am on my third remission; 2 years this August..

Even though I have health insurance through my employer, ACA helped me with its ban on lifetime limits.

In 2017, Trump and GOP attempted a repeal that failed. Harris and Walz voted against the repeal.
In 2019, lymphoma returned.
Over the course of 2 years, I went through 4 different treatments; none of them produced remission.

The fifth treatment provided fifth remission.
It was only approved by the FDA the year before.
My insurer approved the treatment; then rescinded approval; then went back to approval due to an appeal.

I am grateful to Harris, Walz, and others who voted against the repeal; science for providing treatment.
I am not grateful to Trump, GOP, and insurers.
