(15,220 posts)86. You pretty much summed up my thinking, as well.
With all that has happened in movie theaters of late, active security seems to be in order.
I don't think that texting should get someone killed.
I do think when you pay money to attend a movie or other entertainment venue, you should have some reasonable expectation of being able to enjoy that without having someone else doing something annoying to the point that you are precluded from enjoying the event.
Too bad this didn't end with a right cross instead of a gun shot.
