600 from Paperclip. Lots of scientists came to CA., after WWII. Including some of the Nazi Dr's who experimented on humans in Dachau. "The Company", hired a lot of them. A few were involved w the LSD experiments in the 50's and 60's. Dr. Strughold, retired and died in San Antonio, I think.
