4. Yes! The good ol days of sniping last second bids

And getting into ridiculous last second bidding wars for junk. (I famously paid $200 for a misprinted penny that had “slipped past the careful eye of a US mint employee.” Stated value by lister was one cent, bids opened at that.

Anyway I got into a late night bidding war and won that sucker at the last second and was thrilled!...until I noticed the same seller had at least 10 or 12 more for sale, all starting at one cent, and most selling for around that.

Seller felt so bad for me he threw in a Roman coin or something.)

Those were the days.
