One of the top memes of the final night of the Republican National Convention showed Melania Trumps radiant smile collapsing into a look of distaste even alarm after Ivanka Trump greeted her on stage.
The latest tell-all about Melania Trump, written by her former close friend, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, offers a possible backstory for the seemingly withering look the first lady gave to her stepdaughter, whom she calls princess.
In Melania and Me: The Rise and Fall of My Friendship with the First Lady, Winston Wolkoff wrote that Melania once described Ivanka Trump and other family members working in the White House and controlling the Republican Party as a bunch of snakes, according to ABC News.
In an interview with ABCs Good Morning American, Winston Wolkoff similarly described Ivanka Trump and the Trump family as a callous clan tainted by deceit and deception.
It was amateur hour then, and its amateur hour now, and I think its really frightening for our country, Winston Wolkoff said in the interview, the day before the release of her book.
