Democrats need to get away from the notion that Federal Government Spending is "paid for". The GOP is obviously hypocritical but we should not go after them for being hypocrites. We should go after them because the notion that "government spending is out of control" or could even possibly be out of control is a fallacy.

The Federal Government is the issuer of U.S. dollars. It can always credit banks accounts with dollars to pay for anything it wants. We can always purchase anything available for sale in U.S. dollars. The notion that extending aid to our Poor, huddled masses and millions of unemployed brothers and sisters needs to "be paid for" is utter nonsense.

There is no such thing as "paying for" Federal Government spending with taxes in any real sense.

Every Democrat must read former Democratic Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Frank N. Newman's book "Freedom From National Debt". It costs like $5 at Amazon.com.

In my humble opinion, we do not have to bother with calling GOPers hypocrites. Of course they are. Better to focus on the fact that the premises of their entire political ideology are false.
