you can see the origins of her nonsensical utterance. She is just as much an opportunist as he is but didn't inherit the kind of money that he did, let alone have his advantage of being white and male.
Opportunists are "users". They identify circumstances where they feel they can benefit and act on them, no matter how unethical or unsavory. Most fail eventually (see Christie) and she will too, but those who have already developed an exit strategy will move onto something else.
