As a former teacher (left private education because of low pay - $18k per year) I know first hand how hard it is to be a teacher. Thank you teachers! I loved teaching and would still be doing it if I could have made a living wage. I was not able to get into the public schools at the time. I switched careers and it is just not as rewarding as teaching was.
