of causing economic damage to corporations and an economic system they see as oppressive and destructive.

Antifa is exactly what it claims to be, a group of people that oppose fascism. It can be made up of anarchists, liberals, Martians, zombies, or anybody, the only requirements are that you oppose fascism and are willing to do so by force if necessary. Basically they're a group of people that grew tired of peaceful protesting not really working in the face of a grave threat.
