Now, Trump would use the power of unilaterally imposing tariffs simply because it's a bright shiny new toy for him to fuck shit up with. He's that simplistic. But, someone with more intelligence and knowledge of trading could easily, in my opinion, encourage Trump to impose tariffs so they could benefit greatly from the fallout. If only we had a Securities and Exchange Commission that wasn't more corrupt than Trump we might have already seen some light from this.
