Whereas RWNJs cannot. When was the last time Orange Hitler laughed at himself? Certainly not when Obama roasted him royally about the birther-shit.

BYW, other than good glasses frames and shopping at Trader Joe’s, I have little in common with the “Hipsters” as depicted here, but I GET IT, and it’s darn funny!

Because ONLY outsiders are truly FUNNY, punching upward at overstuffed targets. RW “humor” consists of punching downward at the weak, or anyone not white, Christian, etc.

Think of the greatest social-comment comics: Lenny Bruce, Godfrey Cambridge, Mort Sahl, Woody Allen, Mike Nichols and Elaine May, George Carlin, Richard Pryor, etc. ALL were outsiders looking in. Even absurdist comics like Jonathan Winters, Steve Martin and Robin Williams were/are outsiders, dealing with skewed perception and nuance.

Try to name a genuinely funny right-wing, red-state comic. Dennis Miller? Jeff Foxworthy? Larry the Cable Guy? Lightweights all. Not funny to perceptive, sharper audiences. The RW just can’t do humor.
