My sister and I submitted from different areas of the country with different last names and with absolutely no family tree information entered. We came out essentially identical and it identified us as likely first degree relatives, i.e., sisters. In the year that has intervened the results have gotten a bit more precise as they test more and more, but the original findings have merely tightened, not really changed. So, I find confidence in that.
