you wait a day or two after calling. Call back and when they ask for your name, use your husband's. They may ask for some verification like last 4 digits of SS# or mother's maiden name but more than likely you will know all of the answers because you probably set up the account. Then do whatever it is you were trying to do a few days before.

My husband has a masculine sounding name but no one has ever given me a hard time about using it. I have his permission because he cannot stand dealing with any kind of customer service crap (who does?!) I also have power of attorney (but it was not put in place for this reason.)
